On Saturday, January 7th, Windward and the Windy City Ski crew took a bus load from Chicago and headed west to Chestnut in Galena, IL. The 50-something degree temps may have turned off some riders but if you were there then you know it was an amazing spring-temp kinda day! The sun was shining all day long and no heavy jackets were needed. Chestnut was completely open despite the super warm week we had and the snow was in great condition.
Thanks again to our good friends at DC and Rome who sent us a sweet Focus 157 for the guys and a Rome Detail for the ladies to demo. Everyone enjoyed the sunny skies and a few cold ones in the bar and before long it was time to head back to the city. At 5pm we got back on the bus and started the big giveaway raffle! We had some awesome prizes this time around including a pair of mens DC snowboard pants, Spy Goggles, t-shirts, gloves, beer cozies and more! To see all the excited big winners, check out the video!
